Neighbors Killing Neighbors

Warnings from the Lithuanian Holocaust

Neighbors Killing Neighbors tells the story of how the Holocaust began -- not with ghettos and impersonal, industrial death camps, but with direct acts of face-to-face murder, often by local Lithuanian militias who had been instigated by the invading Nazis.

The documentary visits cemeteries, mass killing sites, and a new museum opening in the midst of the Lithuanian countryside to learn what Lithuania's past can teach us about antisemitism in our own time -- and how a new post-Soviet generation of Lithuanian youth are confronting their country's history.
